The chicken runs are filling up nicely at the Midlands Children’s Hope Centre (MCHC). Another 700 chicks have taken up residence in the third run, meaning that there is currently a full house! The three week-old chicks are growing quickly and starting to get their feathers and the six week-olds will be ready to sell by the end of next week.
The MCHC team have begun marketing the sale of the first batch of chickens and have already had interest from the community and local businesses. This represents a milestone development for the MCHC. Proceeds from the sale of the chickens will ensure the continuation of the project, which will provide much-needed income for the orphanage.
