A helping hand makes all the difference
March 27 2014

Midlands Children’s Hope Centre (MCHC) is very proud of Mitchell, one of the orphans supported by the Centre, who has recently received her GCSE (O’ level) results.  Mitchell, who is 16, has done extremely well; achieving four A’s, three B’s and a C grade.  She also received a Distinction.  Well done Mitchell!  MCHC is extremely grateful to the donors who have helped make it possible for Mitchell to attend school.  A special mention goes to Midlands Children’s Hope Project for its continued support and great faith and belief in the orphans of MCHC.

Antelope Park would like to say thank you to all volunteers, past and present, who have kindly donated school supplies - colouring pencils, sharpeners, erasers, blackboard markers, notebooks and other resources - for the orphans of Midlands Children’s Home (Rosedale).  The children are very grateful to receive these donations, which will equip them perfectly for the next school term.

One volunteer, Hilde from Norway, had this to say about her visit to the orphanage:

‘Rosedale has a very nice area with good looking rooms, kitchen and toilets.  They even have rabbits and chickens.  The children were very cute and happy.  It looks like they can run the place well, which is very good.  I had a great time!’

Antelope Park community volunteers do so much for the orphans of Gweru and it is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
