Just before Christmas, the two Kids Clubs at Maunga and Natebe Primary Schools looked at the topic of Thanksgiving. The children really enjoyed learning about this holiday, primarily celebrated by American and Canadian people to give thanks for everything they have.
At the end of the lesson, each child was asked to talk about what they were thankful for. Some said that they appreciated having good friends and families. Others were thankful for having had passed their seventh grade final exam. As you can imagine, this made Lion Encounter staff and volunteers very happy to know that the children place so much value on their education. It was also encouraging that the students from Natebe Primary had turned up in such good numbers. The Kids Club was only recently introduced at this school, so it is good to see it growing in popularity so quickly.
