An update from Livingstone
October 31 2013

The Conservation Club at Mukamusaba School has spent the month of October concentrating on teaching the children all about ecosystems.  Topics covered in the lessons included ecosystem types, habitats, habitat destruction and fragmentation.  To make sure that the lessons were effective and that the children had understood what they had been taught, a quiz was held at the end of this programme of study.

As we are all aware, regular exercise is essential to maintain physical fitness and contributes towards a healthy weight and improved muscle strength.  To stress the importance of keeping fit to local children, Livingstone volunteers recently held a sports day for members of the Maunga Kids Club.  They played games such as What’s the time Mr Fox, Tug of War and football to prove that exercise can be fun.  The children certainly agreed!
