Mkoba 4 Primary

It is yet another end of the school term, the final term for 2013.  The Special Needs class, together with the rest of the students of Mkoba 4 Primary School are busy preparing for their final examinations which commence next week. These exams will determine how many of the Special Needs students will have improved enough to be able to return to main-stream classes.

With the help of the volunteers who have encouraged and mentored the students, the children have a greater understanding of their course-work, and of the importance of education.  Through the one-on-one support from the volunteers, the children have demonstrated improvement in their English and Maths work.

Blandina, Teacher of the Special Needs class commented "The volunteers coming to our class are very important as they interact with the children individually and moving with children at their pace of understanding.  From my point of view the children are gaining a lot from their new friends and this will help them a lot in their education."

We wish all the students of Mkoba 4 Primary School all the best in their upcoming examinations.
