Field guides in the making
November 4 2013

Last week, Antelope Park guide Primrose, joined students at the ALERT Education Centre (AEC) to talk about her job as a guide and what it means to work in the field of conservation.  The students were very interested and eager to ask Primrose questions about wildlife, in particular about lions.

At the beginning of the class, Primrose asked the students what they would like to be when they grow up.  Many of the children wanted to be teachers, nurses, pilots, doctors and soldiers.  One even hopes to become a President.  After the positive reaction to Primrose's talk, it’s possible that there may now be a few more field guides in the making!

If you would like to help teach conservation classes at the AEC, you can join ALERT as a Conservation Education intern.
