Gweru children continue to shine
October 21 2013

Huge congratulations go to Disaster Chikova from the Midlands Children's Hope Centre (MCHC) who has been appointed Head Boy at Progress Christian College.  Question N'Dou, Managing Director of MCHC, said: ‘We are very pleased by Disaster's achievement.’  Disaster has lived at the Centre for two years and in that time has developed into a most positive role model for the younger boys at the home.  Well done Disaster!

Meanwhile, another 47 students from Mkoba 4 Primary School have graduated from the ALERT Education Centre.  This now takes the grand total of future Conservation Stars up to 220, with many other students eager for their chance to join in the classes.

At the graduation ceremony, Antelope Park volunteers presented the students with their certificates and t-shirts before accompanying them on a game drive to spot the wildlife they had been learning about during their Conservation Education classes.  A highlight of the day for the children was having their photograph taken with the lions at the Breeding Program in the background.

You could join us as a Conservation Education Intern at the ALERT Education Centre in Gweru, Zimbabwe, or at the University Times Training Institute in Arusha, Tanzania.
