Antelope Park volunteers were honoured to join teachers, family and friends at the recent Hopeful Life Pre-school’s end of year graduation ceremony.
The ceremony began with each child walking down the aisle in style in their graduations hats and gowns. There was an element of catwalk elegance, as each child proudly posed for pictures on their walk up to receive their certificates. It was great for all involved to hear these little graduates give speeches on the importance of education. Once they had received their certificates, entertainment was provided for everyone to enjoy. This included the children acting out a play and performing a dance routine. At the end of the day, two children dressed up as ‘Mr and Mrs Claus’ handed out sweets to the audience.
Throughout the entire duration of the celebration, all that could be seen in the audience were proud smiling faces. The children themselves were so happy to have the volunteers be part of their special day and to hear them clapping and cheering them on throughout the ceremony. This was a graduation with a difference; one that will remain special in the hearts of all who were present.
