Demand for produce from the Community Garden project in Victoria Falls has stepped up another notch. The project is now supplying the Kingdom Hotel, Zambezi Trader; a luxury house boat on Lake Kariba, and several supermarkets, along with the prestigious Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and Boma cultural restaurant. The garden is flourishing and project members are happy to be working hard to meet demand for a wide range of fresh vegetables. Lion Encounter community volunteers have been on hand, as ever, to help make sure the garden is kept in good condition.
Children from Monde Primary School have been encouraged to look after their teeth, with the donation of 400 toothbrushes from a community volunteer. Lion Encounter also took along other donated items to the school; teaching resources and toys for the Grade Zero class. The children were full of smiles and appreciation for their gifts. Thanks to our volunteers for their kindness and the difference they help to make to the lives of children in the Victoria Falls community.
