Victoria Falls community volunteers have enjoyed another lovely day spent with the children from the orphanage. Face painting, a three-legged race and other fun and games were on the menu. They also spent time helping the children to develop their reading skills. Interacting with the volunteers is having a positive effect on the children’s spoken English and on their confidence, as they enjoy playing and learning together.
Welcome to the hot season in Victoria Falls! The Chinotimba, Dako and Ntabayengwe community gardens are positively thriving under the African sun, with crops looking green, healthy and good enough to eat.
The community gardeners have been able to gather produce already and are continuing to work hard alongside volunteers to ensure a bumper harvest before the season comes to an end. This will allow project members and their families to eat healthily with enough produce left over to sell to the local community.
