Antelope Park is offering ALERT supporters the unique opportunity to ‘Dub a Cub’!
The three K cubs are now four months old and for the first time ever, YOU have the chance to decide what they should be called. For every GB£ 3.00/US$ 5.00 donation you make, you are invited to suggest a suitable name for one of our cubs. The more you donate, the more chance your chosen name has of winning.
Although they are still very young, each of our cubs has her own distinct personality, so your choice of name could reflect this. K1 is a confident cub and is a feisty little madam. K2 is the cheeky one; but very lovable. She can’t get enough attention! K3 is a really sweet, but shy cub. She prefers to play with her sisters, rather than interacting with people. Please bear in mind that, as Kanu is the cub’s mother, all names MUST begin with the letter K, and must also be of African origin. The local languages of Zimbabwe are Shona and Ndebele, but your suggestions can originate from throughout the continent.
The funds raised during this campaign will be used to establish an animal clinic at Antelope Park to enable on-site veterinary care for our lions.
This campaign is open until November 15th 2013 and you can make as many donations as you wish. Remember, the more you donate, the better your chances of ‘dubbing a cub’. After the closing date, three names will be randomly drawn from the list of entries and an announcement of the winning names will be made shortly afterwards.
For more details and to register your entry, visit the Dub a Cub page and leave your name and donation amount. Please don’t forget to submit your chosen cub name in the comments section. Good luck!
