Recently, the 2Ds of Dendi and Damara have been focussing their hunting efforts on the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park's buffalo population. Today (17th) they set their sights a little lower - and struck gold. Their walk along the Zambezi River encountered a herd of impala and without missing a beat the pair launched into a chase. The sisters already have one kill to their name - on a wildebeest - and have made contact with buffalo on several hunts recently.
Putting all that practice into good use, Damara managed to seperate one impala off as the chase continued down to an area known as Beach 1. Tearing along the bank, the impala made a fateful decision and raced down the bank and into a small inlet... Thinking it must be safe in the water, it was proved wrong as Damara plunged without hesitation into the water after it. Struggling to get away, the impala was submerged up to it's neck and the game was soon over as Damara half swam-half jumped to catch it.

But the ordeal wasn't over for the impala yet, as Damara then clambered with it back up the opposite bank onto a small island and was soon joined by sister Dendi. With Damara exhausted and the impala still alive and very much exhausted the girls then worked together to make the kill.
