Penya's close encounter
December 4 2012

Antelope Park's 2Ps were once again pushing their luck with the zebra recently, determined to get one in their claws!

The two cubs stalked a herd on a mid-morning walk, singling out one zebra which had remained behind after its herd in a thicket. Penya spotted the zebra first and flanked off to the right, camouflaging herself in the tall grass, steadily creeping closer to the stallion. Paza followed suit, but this time she split off to the left, attempting to chase the zebra in Penya's direction.

Penya and Paza chase the stallion

The chase ensued and the two cubs sprang into action. As Penya launched herself closer, the zebra turned the tables and confronted the cubs head on. Paza scattered while Penya charged at the stallion again, and coming very close. This attempt on the zebra was very close indeed, so close in fact that Penya almost jumped on the zebra's back.

The zebra charges back!
