The AEC welcomes new students
March 7 2013

Antelope Park recently received notification from Mkoba 4 Primary School that the Ministry of Education has given approval for their students to commence attendance at the ALERT Education Centre (AEC).  Staben, the AEC teacher, has since met with the Principle, Deputy Principle and Grade 6 teachers at the school to arrange for classes to commence this week.

This is very good news for both the students and the Centre, which aims to promote the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation to as many local Grade 6 and 7 children as possible.  By instilling an appreciation of their environment into the children at this age (11 and 12 years old), it is hoped that they will learn to help towards the preservation of Zimbabwe’s wildlife for future generations.

To allow the AEC to continue to provide a free conservation education curriculum in the long term, we need your support.  Please visit our Support Us pages for details of you can assist this project.
