MAY WAVE CHALLENGE

Recent developments at the Midlands Children’s Hope Centre (MCHC) in Gweru, Zimbabwe have put an unexpected time pressure on the building of the new orphanage site. A visit to the current orphanage by Zimbabwe’s Department of Social Services has resulted in the decision to close the MCHC down. The orphanage currently houses 30 boys, while Zimbabwean law states that care can only be provided for a maximum 10 children. The deadline for closure is August, by which time - unless work can be completed on the new orphanage - the boys will be forced to return to life on the streets. Having worked so hard to start a new life, this would be a devastating prospect for these children. With construction unable to begin until a new borehole has been put in place, financial support is urgently needed to fund this and other building costs. We need your help.

Join the #MayWave movement to help fast track the building of the new Orphanage!

How it works:

1.Take a selfie of you waving
2.Post the selfie with the caption of what you are going to waive (give up, such as a Starbucks coffee) to support MCHC and  include    #MayWave
4.Tag two friends to do the same
