Conservation Education

Since 2017, conservation education has been implemented in Sinansengwe Ward 4 to encourage young children to actively engage with their environment and assist them to gain an understanding of the advantages of living alongside and conserving local wildlife habitats, and ecosystems. Conservation education schools were established in Sinansengwe as part of our conservation education programme in 2018 and is an ongoing community initiative. Expanding from our conservation education programs that were conducted in Victoria Falls, this initiative shifts our focus towards Chizarira National Park and the surrounding communities that are gravely affected by human-wildlife conflict. Our conservation education program allows young children to gain a greater understanding of the environment and the importance of conservation whilst establishing ways to mitigate conflict with wildlife.
